Hisham Fayed has been named chief communications officer at Haverhill-based Broco Energy, a full-service fuel, energy and service company.
Fayed is a marketing and promotions leader with 17 years in the radio and media industry. He was born in Cairo, Egypt, and moved to Palmer, Mass., in 1997 at age 10. He graduated from Quabbin Regional High School in Barre, and later earned his bachelor’s in Marketing from Franklin University. He earned his U.S. Citizenship in 2015 and said he is “grateful for the opportunities it has afforded him.”
“My journey from Cairo to becoming a U.S. citizen has profoundly shaped my perspective and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities it has provided,” he explained.
He joined Broco Energy last November as public relations/marketing coordinator. Fayed’s career began in radio, having stints at 92.5 The River and iHeartMedia Boston, which owns Kiss 108, JAM’N 94.5, 100.7 WZLX, 101.7 The Bull and RUMBA 97.7. He also previously served as director of marketing for Beasley Media Group, which includes HOT 96.9.
His role will involve leading Broco Energy’s strategic communications and marketing, with a focus on public relations nationwide and local community engagement initiatives. He reports to Broco Energy CEO Bobby Brown.
“Hisham’s deep understanding of marketing and communication, honed over nearly two decades in media, is a tremendous asset,” said Brown. “We are confident that his expertise will be invaluable as we continue to grow and serve our customers across all our services.”
