You can do your part keeping old clothes and other textiles out of the landfill by recycling them at Ruth’s House, a thrift shop with a charitable mission.
In celebration of Earth Day, those bringing unwanted textiles into the shop between Tuesday, April 22, and Saturday, April 26, will earn a 20% coupon to use in the store. Any types of old textiles will be accepted including torn clothes, stained towels and fabric shreds.
Ruth’s House provides clothing and employment training opportunities to individuals and families in need throughout the Merrimack Valley. Its thrift shop is open Tuesdays through Fridays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturdays, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 111 Lafayette Square, Haverhill.
