The Crescent Yacht Club is planning its 85th Anniversary Jubilee Weekend in June with a boat parade, meals, marketplace, dancing and maritime traditions.
The two-day celebration is planned for Saturday and Sunday, June 21 and 22.
On that Saturday, the celebration kicks off with a boat parade leaving from Newburyport and returning to the Crescent Yacht Club. All participating boats will depart from Crescent Yacht Club between 6 and 7 a.m. Following the parade, Crescent Yacht Club members and guests gather at the club for a waterfront lunch. A “Jubilee Dinner Under the Stars” kicks off at 5 with a cocktail hour, buffet dinner under a big tent overlooking the docks, music and dancing.
Sunday’s festivities include a continental breakfast beginning at 7 a.m. followed by a Seaside Market until noon. The market will feature a vendor fair, craft fair and flea market featuring local artisans, handmade goods, vintage finds and more. Vendors can apply for a $20 space under the tent on a first-come, first-served basis.
A barbecue lunch is planned between 1 and 3 p.m. with live music starting at 2 p.m. and continuing until 6. A closing ceremony will honor the club’s 85-year legacy and look ahead to the future.
