G. Mello Disposal Corp. was recently named as Business of the Month by the Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce.
Haverhill Chamber President and CEO Katie Cook and Chamber Membership Committee member Kathy Bennett presented the February business of the month certificate at the company’s new Georgetown transfer station construction site.
“Our team is very excited with the Chamber’s recognition and very much appreciated,” said President/CEO Jason Mello when accepting the award.
Construction of the state-of-the-art solid waste transfer station began in November and will continue through the summer. The new 550-ton-per-day station will be open seven days per week as a regional resource for customers in Greater Haverhill and beyond.
Accepting the award for the G. Mello team included Mello, Vice President Mark Van Weelden and Operations Manager Mike Monteiro.
“The Mello team understands the importance in not only maintaining chamber memberships but, more importantly, actively participating in a chamber’s activities. Our Haverhill chamber membership keeps us close to the Haverhill community and our local customers,” said Van Weelden.
G. Mello is the first solid waste hauling company selected as a Business of the Month by the Chamber.
