Black History Month Focus of Classic Movie Matinees at Haverhill Public Library

As part of its mission, WHAV provides information and resources targeting health and wellness, food insecurity, after-school programs, education and housing to residents of Greater Haverhill and the Merrimack Valley. In recognition of Black History Month, the Haverhill Public Library is presenting special Classic Movie Matinees.

Films explore the Black experience in the United States will be shown Tuesdays at 10 a.m. in the library auditorium, 99 Main St., Haverhill. The schedule includes “Amistad” on Feb. 4, “Malcolm X” on Feb. 11, “12 Years a Slave” on Feb. 18 and “Judas and the Black Messiah” on Feb. 25.
