The Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce’s seventh annual Restaurant Week is set to kick off in just under a month.
Restaurant Week begins Friday, Feb. 21 and runs through Thursday, Feb. 27—the first time the event takes place during the winter season. Greater Haverhill Chamber of Commerce interim President Kate Martin told WHAV listeners Monday why the change is taking place.
“It had been in August, but we found everyone was on vacation and so it wasn’t as busy as we wanted it to be for the restaurants. February’s a much better time,” she explained.
The Chamber is currently signing up restaurants to participate. Each will be asked to assemble special menus, unusual values, events and other treats.
“It’s a great time to get out when it’s cold, snowy, to get out to your favorite restaurant and have a nice glass of wine and a nice meal,” she added.
Chamber members who wish to participate are asked to email Martin at [email protected] or Membership Manager Kathy Bennett at [email protected].
