Seeking Elected Office in Plaistow? Make Your Interest Known by Jan. 31

Those seeking public office in Plaistow, N.H., have until the end of the month to declare their candidacies.

Among available seats include two, three-year terms on the Board of Selectmen and one, three-year-term as town clerk. Incumbents Darrell Britton and Jonathan Gifford hold the selectmen’s seats and Martha L. Fowler currently serves as town clerk.

Other elected offices include three, three-year terms on the Budget Committee; one, three-year term and one, single-year term on the Planning Board; two, three-year terms for library trustee; three Conflict of Interest Committee seats with one-, two- and three-year terms available; and one, three-year term as trustee of the trust funds.

The last to file for candidacy is Friday, Jan. 31. The town clerk’s office will be open on Friday, Jan. 31, from 3-5 p.m.
