From the people that brought you the “Longest Table” of dining in downtown Haverhill comes the “Longest Run,” a ski competition and after party next month.
Proceeds from the fundraiser, a Ski-A-Thon and Après Ski Party at Ski Bradford, benefits L’Arche Boston North, which provides homes for life for adult children with disabilities.
“We are so thrilled to partner with the incredible team over at Ski Bradford to host this exciting event. This year marks 75 years of Ski Bradford and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate them and all they do for the greater community than to host an event that brings people together across differences to inspire a more inclusive community,” says L’Arche Boston North Executive Director Jennifer Matthews.
It takes place Saturday, Feb. 22, from 3:30 to 8 p.m., at Ski Bradford, 60 S. Cross Road, Haverhill. There’s more information at larchebostonnorth.org/events.
Presented by Haverhill Bank, the Longest Run competition includes such award categories as the Longest Run; Best Costume; and Best Fundraiser, both team and individual. Ski-A-Thon admission is $200 and includes an exclusive Longest Run Lift Ticket, for use between 2 and 9 p.m.; food voucher, redeemable between 2 and 6 p.m.; L’Arche Longest Run Winter Beanie; and entry to the Après L’Arche Party following the competition.
Other options include a $150 Fun Ski and Après Registration with exclusive lift ticket and entry to the Après L’Arche Party; a party only option at $75, which includes outdoor entertainment, a variety of heavy appetizers and warm bites provided by Simply Elegant catering, hot chocolate, and sweet treats. A cash bar will be available.
