The Haverhill Public Library will host a virtual talk, “Even More Haunted Lighthouses of New England,” on Zoom.
The discussion will be led by Jeremy D’Entremont, president and historian of the American Lighthouse Foundation and historian for the U.S. Lighthouse Society. D’Entremont is the author of more than 20 books and hundreds of articles on lighthouses and maritime history.
The talk focuses on the connection between lighthouses and ghost stories. D’Entremont has previously discussed various spirits associated with lighthouses, including the lovelorn spirit known as Ernie at Connecticut’s New London Ledge Light and the piano-playing ghost of Maine’s Seguin Light. Participants can expect to learn about other intriguing tales related to lighthouses and their histories. The talk is Monday, Oct. 28, from 7-8:15 p.m.
