For its final August Kids’ Program, Buttonwoods Museum hosts a reading of “We Are Water Protectors” by Carole Lindstrom, a story about the Ojibwe people.

Children in pre-k and kindergarten will learn about the importance of water in our world and paint a watercolor scene to take home afterwards.

The event takes place Thursday, Aug. 22, from 11 a.m. to noon at Buttonwoods Museum, 240 Water St., Haverhill. Preregistration is required. Those interested may register either via a Google form available within this article at WHAV.net or by emailing the number of children attending to [email protected].
