As part of Essex National Heritage Area’s “Trails and Sails,” Tattersall Farm hosts a Wildflower and Fruits Nature Walk.
The public is invited to walk through Tattersall Farm’s forest and meadow, engage with seasonal poetry and discuss some of the lore around the Autumn Equinox. They will also get the chance to learn about the many habitats in the area, common plants that reside within them and their historical uses.
The walk will be led by Roland “Boot” Boutwell, a naturalist who has also taught at Sudbury Valley Trustees, Trustees of Reservations, Appalachian Mountain Club, Arlington Community Education, Native Plant Trust and Winchester Public Schools.
The walk takes place Saturday, Sept. 21, from 9-11 a.m., at Tattersall Farm, 542 N. Broadway, Haverhill. With limited slots, registration is required by emailing Kathy Bresnahan at [email protected]. There is no entrance fee, but the farm recommends a $10 donation.
