Root & Bloom, a cannabis cultivation and product manufacturer, is among those looking to recruit employees at MakeIT Haverhill’s August job fair this week.

Root & Bloom is looking for a, what it calls, part-time budtender who will serve a customer service role and full-time packaging, kitchen and cannabis cultivation technician employees.

Returning employers include Community Action, Opportunity Works, NRT Bus, Rapid Coatings, Covenant Health for Penacook Place and Mary Immaculate and Waystone Health and Human Services.

MakeIT Haverhill says monthly job fairs help connect individuals with local employers, while allowing employers to engage with potential job seekers and network with potential partners. Bilingual assistance is available for Spanish and Haitian Creole speakers.

The job fair takes place Thursday, Aug. 22, from 4-6 p.m., at MakeIT Haverhill, 301 Washington St., Haverhill.

Others at the fair will be Career Training Academy, providing free job training programs for adults learning English; Haverhill Latino Coalition, registering Massachusetts residents to vote; Haverhill, Health Department offering free blood pressure testing and Narcan giveaways; and MassHire, offering training programs, career exploration, job search and resume building services.
