Buttonwoods Hosts Pentucket Cemetery Tour for Kids Tuesday, Aug. 13

Buttonwoods Museum is hosting a tour Tuesday of Haverhill’s first cemetery as part of its August Kids Program.

Children in kindergarten through eighth grade may explore the Pentucket Cemetery and the history it contains. Attendees will participate in a scavenger hunt and get a firsthand look at the art of stone carving.

The event is free, but pre-registration is required either via the Google form or by emailing the number of participating children to [email protected].

The event takes place Tuesday, Aug. 13, from noon to 2 p.m., at Buttonwoods Museum, 240 Water St. After check in, the event will progress down the street to Pentucket Cemetery, 218 Water St.
