Buttonwoods Museum is partnering with Merrimack River Watershed Council for “Riverside History!” described as a day of fun and education on the banks of the Merrimack River.

Children in grades five through eight are invited to learn about the Merrimack River and its impact on history. Attendees can explore how the river has changed over time, examine artifacts from the first people to live on the river and enjoy the river today using Buttonwoods Riverside Trail.

The event is free, but pre-registration is required. Those interested can either register using this Google form or by emailing the number of kids attending to [email protected].

The event takes place Saturday, Aug. 10, with check-in at 10 a.m., at Buttonwoods Museum, 240 Water St., Haverhill. The event will progress across the street to Buttonwoods Riverside Trail and end at noon.
