Haverhill High School is kicking off the 2024 to 2025 school year with its Freshmen Orientation.
Incoming freshmen have the opportunity to meet current students and sign up for the many clubs and athletic teams the school offers. They also have the chance to tour the school, meet their freshmen teachers and other faculty and gather information about the upcoming semester.
Kona Ice will be there to offer free shaved ice to all attending freshmen. Family members can also purchase ice for themselves as part of a fundraiser for the freshman class.
Interested attendees should register for the event in advance via this Google form.
Orientation will be held Tuesday, Aug. 20, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at Haverhill High School, 137 Monument St. It will kick off at the track outside the school with remarks from Principal Michael Downs and Assistant Principals Margaret Fitzgerald and Thomas Wright. Students can then tour the school building and meet student organizations by the flag pole. In the event of rain, orientation will take place Wednesday, Aug. 21.
