Somebody Cares New England is hosting a joint basketball and arts program for kids ages 10 to 18.
The program runs for three days between Thursday, Aug. 8, and Saturday, Aug. 10. Kids may choose between basketball or arts and will receive either a basketball or art kit on the first day. Lunch and dinner is provided along with four and a half hours of basketball practice or art projects each day. On the last day, they will receive their choice of a free backpack and will have an opportunity to take part in a talent show, where parents mat attend.
Those interested must register in advance at cognitoforms.com. Parents should select which program their child would prefer to participate in, as well as whether the child will be participating in the talent show. Somebody Cares New England advises that it is a Christian organization and there will be Bible references in parts of the program.
Programs start each day with lunch at noon, at Somebody Cares New England, 358 Washington St. Dinner is served at 5 p.m. and a guest speaker is planned at 5:30 p.m.
