Wicked Axe is hosting “Shane Shep: The Eras Tour,” a fundraiser to support the Shephard family, this Saturday.

The event is comprised of multiple tournaments, including axe throwing, cornhole and two simulated golf competitions—closest to the pin and longest drive. The axe throwing tournament has been modified to follow both International Axe Throwing Federation and World Axe Throwing League formats, so all axe throwers may participate.

There is also an ongoing online auction at revolutionaxe.com for various axes, sheaths and other accessories, and several raffles will be held at the event.

Proceeds from the event support, Sylis, oldest son of Shane Shepard, one of the founders of New England axe throwing. Sylis was recently diagnosed with a rare disorder that originates in the immune system. Money raised will pay for Sylis’ medical expenses, chemotherapy port-friendly shirts, toys to keep him occupied during treatment and any other necessities.

The axe tournament is $30 per entry; cornhole, $10 per individual and $20 per team with single elimination; and golf tournament is $10 per entry, which includes three shots per competition. Attendees must register in advance at wicked-axe.com.

It takes place Saturday, July 27, from 5-10 p.m. at Wicked Axe, 721 S. Main St. Raffle winners will be announced at 9:30 p.m.
