411 Cares hosts its second annual “Tuna in July” fundraiser for military veterans and Haverhill families in need this month.

Donors may give any size can of tuna or jar of mayonnaise at drop off locations around the city to support the Veterans Northeast Outreach Center and several food pantries around Haverhill.

“In 2023, the Greater Haverhill community gave their overwhelming support with multiple cans of tuna dropped off at various locations throughout the entire month of July. We are hoping for an even greater response this July,” says 411 Cares Executive Director Dee Jacobs O’Neil.

The tuna drive runs for the entire month of July. Items may be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Haverhill Bank branches at 163 S. Main St.; 180 Merrimack St.; and 1094 Main St., all in Haverhill. Donations may also be dropped off at the same times at G’s Texas Southern Flare, 35 Washington Street; Stem Haverhill,124 Washington St.; Napoli’s Pizza, 146 White St.; Choice Fitness, 2 Water St.; Haverhill Police Station lobby, 40 Bailey Blvd.; or Haverhill Fire Department Central Station, 131 Water St.
