New York Times bestselling author, National Book Award finalist and TED speaker Jarrett J. Krosoczka addresses a special assembly of students at Haverhill’s Gateway Academy on Wednesday.

Organizers say, Krosoczka will share insights into his creative process, discuss the importance of storytelling and encourage students to explore their own creativity—all the while instilling the power of resilience and hard work.

His multimedia presentation details his creative journey and the process he takes to create his award-winning books. His picture books include “Peanut Butter and Jellyfish,” the “Lunch Lady” graphic novel series and the National Book Award finalist “Hey, Kiddo.”

In addition to his work in print, Krosoczka produced, directed and performed in the full-cast audiobook adaptations of his graphic novels. Krosoczka has been a guest on NPR’s “Fresh Air” with Terry Gross, profiled in The New York Times, featured on Good Morning America and delivered three TED Talks. He has also written books in the Star Wars universe and episodes of The Snoopy Show on Apple TV+.

The presentation for assembled students takes place Wednesday, March 6, at the alternative middle and high school.
