Local poet Mark Lipman presents the animated feature film of the epic poem, “The Empireid,” during a showing Wednesday at the Haverhill Public Library.

The poem follows the story of Horacio, grandson of Venus, and the last of the Trojan line. The tale weaves history, legend, myth and warfare in a spellbinding saga. Award winning writer and filmmaker Lipman hosts a discussion and field audience questions at the end of the showing.

The film will be screened Wednesday, Nov. 8, at 6 p.m., at Haverhill Public Library’s Johnson Auditorium, 99 Main St., Haverhill.
