Team Haverhill’s Clean & Green Haverhill Neighborhoods is seeking volunteers as it turns to the city’s Riverside section this Wednesday.

Volunteers meet Wednesday, Aug. 16, from 5:30-7 p.m., behind Dunkin’ Donuts at River’s Edge Plaza, 259 Lincoln Ave., and then disperse to nearby areas, such as Riverside Park. As Haverhill moves to mostly ward-based elections, the group plans to reach all seven wards.

“We’re doing this to highlight the unpleasant reality that litter and dumping are serious problems in every part of Haverhill and require citywide responses,” organizers said.

Team Haverhill will provide supplies, but ask volunteers to bring gloves and trash pickers if they have them.
