“Consciousness Revealed; Works by Marc Mannheimer” will be on display in downtown Haverhill beginning Saturday, April 15.

The exhibition of artwork by Marc Mannheimer may be viewed from Saturday, April 15, to Sunday, June 4, at SJ Art Consulting, 43 Washington St. The public is invited to attend an opening reception April 15, from 5-8 p.m. Gallery owner and artist representative Sarah LoVasco has worked with Mannheimer for more than six years.

“When I first visited Marc’s studio, I was hooked,” she says. “From the welcoming chairs and thriving plants, to his older works, delicately housed within the custom painting storage he built below his studio. Here is a life-long artist who’s respect for the creative process informs every aspect of his life. And you can sense that through the work.”

Mannheimer is a lifelong artist with a background in art education and therapy and whose experience includes international travel and training, including and especially throughout Italy. His work is described as “highly detailed and often elicits intense periods of contemplation and emotional exploration for viewers.”

The exhibition at SJ Art Consulting will include not only a painting from his series devoted to interpreting the Ten Plagues of Egypt from the Old Testament of the Bible, but sculpture, including one that incorporates a 3D printed bust, a neon piece, watercolors and collage works.
