Methuen resident Robert Megerdichian talks about his late father’s hobby of machining solid scrap metal into his interpretations of everyday objects during an in-person presentation tomorrow.

The talk, “Love in Metal: Abraham Megerdichian Machined Metal Miniatures,” takes place Tuesday, Jan. 17, from 6:30-8, in the Garden Room at Nevins memorial Library 305 Broadway, Methuen. The miniatures are also on display.

Abraham Megerdichian was a U.S. Navy sailor, avid gardner, stamp collector, promoter of Armenian culture and language, bicyclist around Fresh Pond, and machinist. He gave machined metal miniatures as gifts to family and friends from the 1950s until his passing in 1983.
