Businesses are offering money back or bonuses on certain gift certificates, suggesting merchandise and home-delivered holiday meals
For example, this Dec. 15 marks the 20th Anniversary of the Amtrak Downeaster. The train service is offering a chance to win one of three getaways to New York City, Boston or Freeport, Maine. A senior discount for those age 65 and up provides 50% off the regular one-way coach fares on all Downeaster trains.
