Haverhill is collecting grass and leaves at the curbside this Saturday, May 2.

The city’s trash collection vendor, Capitol Waste, is conducting the pickup of grass and leaves only. Brush, including tree limbs, branches, sticks or tree trunks will have to wait until the city’s Public Works site on Primrose Street reopens later this year.

Residents are asked to have open-top barrels and biodegradable paper leaf bags curbside by 6 a.m., Saturday morning. Open-top containers may not weigh more than 50 pounds. The city will not collect leaves or grass in loose piles or on tarps in front of homes.

There’s more information at HaverhillRecycle.org or residents may call 311 or the Solid Waste and Recycling Department at 978-420-3817.
