The coronavirus pandemic is breaking yet another tradition—3rd District Day in Washington, D.C.

Congresswoman Lori Trahan, who has continued a tradition of having an annual day in Washington to discuss constituent concerns and provide updates, said yesterday the event is postponed until at least September.

In an email, Trahan said, “We will monitor the coronavirus pandemic throughout the summer months and proceed in accordance with official public health guidance.”

The event, started by Marty Meehan as 5th District Day and also carried by former Congresswoman Niki Tsongas, had been scheduled to take place Thursday, May 14.
