What the federal government is doing to help nonprofits in Haverhill and Lawrence is the subject of a talk this morning by Congresswoman Lori Trahan.

Trahan is the featured speaker at Community InRoads’ Executive Roundtable Series, beginning at 10:45, at Berkeley Retirement Home, 150 Berkeley St., Lawrence.

Community InRoads fosters a network of nonprofits in Greater Lawrence and Haverhill to improve access to resources and provide quality services to men, women and children in the Merrimack Valley. Expected to be in attendance for the talk are representatives of Budget Buddies, CLASS Inc., Lazarus House, Berkeley Retirement Home, Groundwork Lawrence, Lawrence Community Works and others.

Following the roundtable, Trahan plans to meet with newly-elected Methuen Mayor Neil Perry. They will visit the Raymond J. Martin Riverside Park located along the bank of the Merrimack River on Methuen’s westside.
