Lydia Vazquez Joins Align Credit Union as Vice President of Lending Compliance

Lydia Vazquez has joined Align Credit Union as vice president of lending compliance.

Vazquez is responsible for compliance and support relating to all lending services and oversees the administration of lending-related technology.  Lowell-based Align Credit Union has branches in Haverhill, Methuen and Amesbury.

Align Executive Vice President Brian Bacci said, “She is a results-driven financial lending professional with a history of moving organizations forward. She has the breadth of experience that will allow her to make a positive impact in our lending areas.”

Vazquez comes to Align with more than 20 years of experience in the lending industry at both banks and credit unions. Prior to joining Align, she was assistant vice president of residential lending operations and originations and fair lending officer at Leominster Credit Union and a senior underwriter and loan systems administrator at Avidia Bank in Hudson.

Ten years ago, she founded Willie’s Warriors, an organization dedicated to raising funds for cancer awareness. In 2019, she was awarded the individual Top Fundraiser for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. Vazquez is active in her local youth group and serves as a youth leader at Hope Chapel in Sterling. She is also a trained yoga instructor and mindfulness coach and teaches classes at Wachusett Wellness in Clinton.
