Methuen Police are thanking those who helped make this year’s toy drive a big success and brighten homes yesterday.

Last Saturday, local toy donations were among the 1,900 wishes that were granted to local children in need. As part of a ceremony of thanks and appreciation, Debbie’s Treasure Chest, guests and numerous agencies throughout the Merrimack Valley, joined together to applaud all of the efforts of those involved. After the ceremony, the toys were presented to those agencies who would ensure on-time delivery to children throughout the Merrimack Valley.

In a statement, Methuen Police said, “Give yourselves a hand, Methuen, your donation will help make a child smile on Christmas. Your donation helped to restore a family’s faith in the spirit of Christmas. Your generosity made a difference.
