An opportunity to reflect and learn about Native American history comes on Sunday, Nov. 3 at 2 p.m. as the Haverhill Public Library hosts a presentation and performance by Annawon Weedon. Weedon, a member of the Mashpee Wampanoag community, seeks to educate and provide a more nuanced depiction of indigenous peoples and cultures.
The event promises to discuss such topics as the figure Squanto, the first inhabitants of Turtle Island, and the Massachusetts whaling industry.
