UPDATE: On Tuesday, Mayor James J. Fiorentini announced a revision in Saturday’s trick or treat schedule, changing the hours to run from 4:30-6 p.m., due to ongoing concerns of mosquito exposure. The state Department of Public Health recommended Haverhill activities cease by 6 p.m. due to a mosquito testing positive for the West Nile virus earlier this summer. Dusk is expected to occur at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Saturday. The threat for mosquito-borne illnesses is expected to end after the area’s first hard frost.
