Haverhill-based charity Ozzie’s Kids has announced dates for city residents to sign up for the organization’s annual Christmas gift distribution, the first since the spring 2019 deaths of founders Officer Osmond “Ozzie” Hardy and wife Gayle.

Sign ups take place on Wednesday Oct. 9 from 5:30-7 p.m., Saturday Oct. 19 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., and Saturday Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., organizer Khristina Hardy tells WHAV. Parents must stop by Haverhill City Hall, 4 Summer St., to register.

Families with children who are newborns through 12-year-olds are eligible to receive gifts. Proof of residency, a photo ID, and the child’s report card or something to verify the child’s name is required for registration, Hardy said.

The first 500 children registered are guaranteed gifts.
