Methuen Library Holding Tuesday Course Geared Toward Youth Staying Home Alone

The Nevins Memorial Public Library in Methuen is hosting a course to arm area youth with the tools to stay safe and secure while staying home alone on Tuesday, Aug. 20 from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

The course, presented by South Shore Safety health educators, takes serious topics and makes them fun. Subjects addressed include basic self-defense, first aid, and common-sense safety. Children aged 9-11 are eligible to attend.

The cost of the course is $40, and registration is required. To register, call the library at 978-686-4080, x26.
