Haverhill Public Meetings: Week of Aug. 12

The public has opportunities to shape policy this week as various Haverhill boards meet. In the interest of transparency in government, WHAV provides this list of upcoming meetings every week.

Monday, Aug. 12

The Haverhill Police Department hosts a public hearing at 9:30 a.m. in the training room of its headquarters, 40 Bailey Boulevard, Haverhill. To be discussed during the session is the potential spending of $26,243 through a JAG Byrne grant for a 2020 Chevrolet van to be used to transport prisoners.

Tuesday, Aug. 13

The Haverhill School Committee’s Finance Subcommittee meets at 8:30 a.m. in Room 206 of City Hall, 4 Summer St. to discuss budget matters.

At 9 a.m., the Haverhill Retirement Board meets for a regular meeting in Room 303 of City Hall.

The Haverhill Board of Assessors plans to meet in Room 115 of City Hall at 10 a.m. to go over general business.

Wednesday, Aug. 14

The Haverhill Planning Board is set to meet at 7 p.m. in Room 202 of City Hall to review several applications and prospective plans.

Thursday, Aug. 15

At 6 p.m. in Room 301 of City Hall, the Haverhill Vietnam Veterans Memorial Ad Hoc Commission meets to discuss fundraising and strategic planning.

Members of the School Committee gather in City Hall’s Theodore A. Pelosi Jr. Chambers, Room 202, for a 7 p.m. meeting.
