Haverhill Public Meetings Week of July 29

The public has opportunities to shape policy this week as various Haverhill boards meet. In the interest of transparency in government, WHAV provides this list of upcoming meetings every week.

Monday, July 29

The City Council’s public safety subcommittee is meeting in part to discuss an update on group homes following the Westland Terrace tire slashing spree earlier this month. An ordinance about animals left in cars is also on the agenda. The meeting is in room 204 of City Hall, 4 Summer St., at 7 p.m.

Tuesday, July 30

Haverhill’s Board of Assessors meets in regular session in room 115 of City Hall at 9 a.m.

Hillview Montessori Charter School’s Board of Trustees discusses new business and education reports at their meeting at 75 Foundation Ave. at 6:15 p.m.

Wednesday, July 31

At 1:30 p.m. at the Welcome Street Citizens Center, the Haverhill Commission on Disabilities gathers to discuss police training for working with persons with disabilities as well as plans for the Americans with Disabilities Act Day.

Thursday, Aug. 1

Haverhill’s Conservation Commission meets in regular session at 7 p.m. in room 301 of City Hall.

At 7 p.m., the City Council Planning and Development Committee plans to address parking at the Veterans Clinic and Washington Square Historic District, as well as construction on Main Street. Meeting is in City Council room 204.
