“In School Days” was a famous poem by John Greenleaf Whittier, but WHAV brought it to life over the years.

WHAV Program Director Ken Ash introduced “School Meeting Tonight” in 1952. It featured the perspectives of Haverhill school faculty. Later that year, “School House Echoes” premiered from the then-Haverhill Trade School. In one episode, students of the Trade School’s junior English course grilled City Manager Daniel E. Mclean about parking in downtown Haverhill.
