Catch the Wave at 97.9 WHAV ♦ November 19, 2021
2021_fall_membership_drive-600
Dear reader,

This fall, 97.9 WHAV celebrates five years of FM broadcasting. Only WHAV has reported potentially major changes to our roster of local and regional elected officials and the districts in which they will run. Only WHAV has reported the deliberations of city boards and commissions as development expands. Only WHAV has reported the silver linings inside public school issues even as others report events out of context.

As Greater Haverhill’s only public radio station and nonprofit local news service, your monthly subscription during this fall membership drive is critical. Click to review the new and easy giving options. For a limited time, you’ll make an even greater impact as donations will be matched by Early Contractors up to $500.

Before You Go…

If you believe, as WHAV does, that an informed public makes for better neighbors, employees, volunteers, customers, leaders, voters and citizens, we have a small favor to ask.

Unlike others, WHAV makes its journalism available to all. If you’re not already a donor or member, WHAV needs your ongoing support to do its job. The news media is hurting with thousands of outlets closing across the country. Local news has suffered the most. While we may not always agree on what event should or should not have been covered, WHAV’s philosophy is to err on the side of disclosure. If you share a belief in these principles, help WHAV to continue being Greater Haverhill’s most trusted, reliable and thought-provoking source of news—whether on-air, online, over cable television or in social media.

Help protect WHAV’s independence by choosing a membership option here.
