WHAV’s Better Sound in the Frank McIntosh Tradition Depends on Your Support Too

As the year ends, WHAV is just shy of the amount needed to deliver robust local news and entertainment offerings in the new year.

WHAV has not only been celebrating the 75th anniversary this month of the opening of its downtown studio building, but also of its return there. WHAV took advantage of the moving upheaval to improve the equipment, processing and connections between its studios and tower atop Silver Hill. In fact, arrangements were especially tailored to WHAV’s programming—naturally sounding voices on local news programs and music presented the way classic artists intended.

The higher quality sound—perhaps the best on the dial—was always a WHAV goal. Frank H. McIntosh, whose legendary audio amplifiers were used at the Woodstock Music Festival in 1969, was one of WHAV’s original engineers.

Your membership or donation will help nonprofit WHAV meet its end-of-year goal. Giving is easy too. Just click here and choose from among the many options. Thank you for your support of the best sounding entertainment and information on the radio dial.
