Of all the dignitaries who visited WHAV on the opening of its new studio building during 75 years ago this month, state Sen. Philip K. Allen marveled at how its construction forecast the station’s future.

“It will fill a need for news coverage and the implementation of education throughout the area to which its services reach. The modern conception of its building architecturally and scientifically should, I think, give promise of things to come,” he said.
