Support WHAV and Support All Local Nonprofits That Rely on Public Service

Just about every WHAV on-air personality over the years—Edwin V. Johnson, Tom Bergeron, Ken Ash, you name ‘em—have helped local charities and causes make ends meet.

From WHAV’s first day on the air 75 years ago, founder John T. “Jack” Russ promised, “What concerns you directly, your lives and businesses, your community betterment will always get first priority on the WHAV airwaves.” During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, local nonprofits credited WHAV for extending a literal lifeline. Free on-air and online announcements helped groups sell tickets to virtual events, take donations, recruit volunteers and more.

WHAV, a nonprofit itself, couldn’t provide this service without the generous support of its listeners and readers. To keep it going strong, the radio station needs your membership or added donation to meet its end-of-year goal. Just click here. Thank you for your support of all nonprofits.

There’s more. Take the Early Challenge today and make your donation worth more! Early Contractors is matching donations dollar for dollar up to $1,500 when donations reach $2,500 by Dec. 15!
