WHAV’s Fall Membership Drive Remembers Bud Smith
Earl “Bud” Smith was a Haverhill meteorologist who found a place on-air when WHAV launched 75 years ago. He worked in an age without sophisticated radar or satellites and acknowledged the shortcomings of the time. He explained in a promo for his forecasts.

A 21-year-old Haverhill man received, what were described as, minor injuries early Sunday morning when the box truck he was driving rolled over while exiting Interstate 93 south in Hooksett, N.H.
