Over the past 75 years, many future luminaries launched their careers at WHAV. One was the late Gary LaPierre, who went on to serve listeners of WBZ Boston for more than 40 years. Several years ago, LaPierre came back to WHAV to help during a membership drive.

Haverhill Police last week arrested two in connection with the alleged theft of a two-month-old dog in Dorchester earlier this month.
