Stay Connected: Support WHAV on its Diamond Jubilee
This year’s WHAV Spring Membership Drive focuses on the 75th anniversary of WHAV first coming to the service of local audiences—a mission that today is more important than ever.
|
Legendary local newscaster Edwin V. Johnson, known to generations of Haverhill High School students as the affable public speaking instructor, introduced “Partyline” in 1954 to solicit listener feedback on the news. |
Local merchants used to pick up the tab for WHAV’s service, but due to nationwide trends listeners are asked to step up during this critical spring membership drive. On this, WHAV’s diamond jubilee, support Greater Haverhill’s only public radio station and nonprofit local news service with your membership, renewal or added donation by clicking here.
