Guerin served as Haverhill’s mayor during 2002 and 2003 and was appointed as a member of state Civil Service Commission in 2004 by then-Gov. Mitt Romney. Previously, he served as a member of the Haverhill City Council for 10 years.

In the studio opposite Guerin will be Tim Coco. Guerin and Coco last appeared together on WHAV 30 years ago on “What’s Happening at H.H.S.” when both were Haverhill High School seniors. Guerin was class president.

Proceeds Benefit New Edwin V. Johnson Newsroom

Tony Seton, former ABC Network Television journalist and producer of Barbara Walters interviews, will talk about the state of the news media next Monday in downtown Haverhill.

Seton will discuss “From Cronkite to Colbert: Journalism in Transition,” Monday, Sept. 21 at The Galleria Banquet Room, Maria’s Family Restaurant, 83-85 Essex Street, Haverhill. He will also be available for a wine and cheese reception before the talk. Tickets are $100 for both the reception and talk and $25 for the lecture only and may be obtained by calling (978) 374-2111 or visiting www.WHAV.net.
