Plaistow Police were called to a Planet Fitness gym on Sunday to find Haverhill’s Eric Stagno taking the workout chain’s “judgment free zone” slogan quite literally.
Capt. Brett Morgan tells WHAV officers were dispatched to the Plaistow Road gym at 1:35 p.m. on July 22 after the 34-year-old Stagno walked inside, stripped down at the door and walked around in the buff in full view of fellow exercisers.
“When officers arrived, they found him completely nude on his knees in a yoga-type position,” Morgan said. “The only statement he made was that he thought it was a ‘judgment free zone,’ apparently referencing the chain’s slogan.”
He was arrested without incident and charged with indecent exposure/lewdness and disorderly conduct, Morgan told WHAV.
Stagno was released on $1,000 bail and appears in Plaistow Circuit Court on Sept. 21.
