Help Pay for Local News
and Keep National Advertising Away

You may have noticed by now that WHAV recently removed national advertising, videos and popups at WHAV.net.

For many years WHAV has grappled with the quandary of keeping the obtrusive advertising to help pay for local news, but inconveniencing (or, let’s face it, irritating) WHAV’s web readers. As an experiment, WHAV is making an effort to permanently end the national advertising while it asks those readers and listeners who do not pay for the news to become monthly contributors at any amount they can afford.

WHAV is Greater Haverhill’s only public radio station and nonprofit local news service. Thank you to WHAV members, donors and underwriters that help pay for original local news reporting that is freely shared with the community.
