A man, believed to be 33 years old and from Haverhill, was killed early Monday morning after his vehicle drove into an Interstate 495 rest area in Haverhill and struck the rear of a tractor-trailer. Residents Report Noise and Shaking After 3.9 Magnitude Maine Quake; No Local Damage Reports

Area residents were among those feeling the ground shake Monday morning after a 3.9 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Maine. The United States Geological Survey said the 10:22 a.m., earthquake hit a little more than six miles off York Harbor, Maine.
