Friends and family of Andrew Fella are looking for owners and drivers of classic and antique cars to participate in a drive-by this Saturday morning to help bring cheer to the Haverhill resident who is battling multiple forms of cancer.

What is being called “a mini car meet outside our home” is a salute to Fella, a longtime enthusiast of vintage automobiles.

“Growing up, he was incredibly proud of his vintage cars—from his 1960s Cadillac to his 1970s Oldsmobile Cutlass. I’ll never forget how cool I felt when he dropped me off at school in one of them,” writes Fella’s daughter Katerina Adamantea.

The drive-by takes place Saturday, April 19, from 10 a.m., to noon, along the Woodrow Avenue and Alpine Drive loop to Fella’s home at 10 Alpine Drive.

Those interested in participating or learning more where to line up and park may see the “Cruising for Andy” Facebook event posting.
