State Sen. Pavel M. Payano is taking part in the Mass Mentoring Partnership’s 19th annual Youth Mentoring Day Tuesday at the State House.
Payano, who represents Lawrence, Haverhill and Methuen, is scheduled to speak during this year’s ceremony, carrying the theme of “Building a Mentoring Movement: A Strategy for Today and a Better Tomorrow.” Other speakers include Mass Mentoring Partnership President and CEO Cynthia Orellana and state Reps. Patricia Duffy and Carlos Gonzalez. They will address “the power of young people using their voices” for advocacy.
More than 250 people are expected to attend the event which begins Tuesday, at 10:30, in the Great Hall of the State House.
