A team of educators is visiting Pentucket Regional High School as part of the school’s accreditation review.
Principal Brenda Erhardt said in a release the accreditation visit is conducted under the direction of the Commission on Public Schools of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The team conducts an independent, professional assessment of how the High School aligns with organization’s Standards for Accreditation. Evaluators represent schools from across New England.
“It is always helpful to hear feedback from respected educators as we work to continuously improve,” Erhardt said.
The visiting educators will meet with school stakeholders, visit classrooms and review student work samples. They also review the school self-assessment, in which faculty identified the school’s strengths and highlighted areas for improvement.
Accreditation is a statement of confidence in a school’s professionalism, student and staff performance, and a willingness to invest in resources. Pentucket was last accredited in 2013.
The accreditation team will issue a final report with recommendations.
